### What is the difference between white, pink and brown noise?

White noise has equal energy at every frequency and sounds hissy, like TV static. Pink noise has equal energy per octave, so the treble is softer — like steady rain — and many people find it best for focus. Brown noise is weighted even more toward the bass, like a waterfall or distant thunder, and is popular for sleep. Try each and keep the one you find most comfortable.
