Phone and laptop recordings usually carry a layer of hiss, or the steady hum of an air conditioner or fan. This tool uses spectral denoising to push that steady noise down while leaving the voice as intact as possible, and can also cut low-frequency rumble and boost speech in the same pass.

### How much strength should I use?

The default of 12 dB suits most material. Push to 18–20 when the noise is obvious; past 25 the voice goes dull and picks up a watery, metallic edge.

### Can it remove someone talking in the background?

No. These algorithms only handle steady noise — hiss, fans, electrical hum. Sudden sounds like speech, a slamming door or keyboard clicks largely survive.

### Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly. Files never leave your computer and are discarded when you close the page.

### Do I need to sign up or pay?
