## FAQ

### The bass boost made everything muddy — what should I change?

Pull the bass back to about +5 dB and take a couple of dB off the mids. The low end stays punchy without smearing.

### Why is it not louder after boosting?

A limiter runs afterwards to prevent clipping. If the result is still quiet overall, follow up with the Volume & Speed or Normalize Audio tool.

### Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly. Files never leave your computer and are discarded when you close the page.

### Do I need to sign up or pay?

No. The site is completely free, requires no account, has no usage limits and adds no watermarks.
