You don’t need design software to make a decent logo. Type a brand name and tagline and pick a layout: a round badge (name along the top arc, tagline along the bottom, plus an optional “EST. 2024” line and a ribbon banner across the middle), icon on top, a horizontal icon-left lockup, a square monogram mark, or a plain wordmark. Curved text is laid out glyph by glyph: the browser measures every character’s real width, then each character’s centre is placed on the arc and rotated to the tangent, so the top arc reads clockwise and the bottom arc reads left to right, with adjustable letter spacing and automatic shrinking when the text would wrap too far. Shapes include circle, double ring, rounded square, shield and hexagon, filled with one of 68 hand-drawn line icons (coffee, leaf, rocket, camera, code and more, with adjustable stroke), any emoji, or the brand’s initials. Fonts come from what your system already has — sans, geometric, humanist, Didone, Garamond, Copperplate, slab, rounded, script and Chinese Kai — with bold, all-caps and spacing controls. Start from 12 palettes or set the shape, icon, text, ribbon and background colours individually, or go transparent. Export an SVG (text stays editable; badge text can use textPath for easy editing in Illustrator or Inkscape) and PNGs from 256 to 4096 px, and download the square mark alone as a site icon while live 16–64 px favicon previews and a browser-tab mock-up show how it holds up small. Everything is generated locally and nothing is uploaded.

## How to use

1. Enter the brand name and tagline (badges can take an extra line)
2. Choose a layout, shape and icon — line icon, emoji or initials — and add a ribbon if you like
3. Pick a palette or set colours individually, then tune font, weight, case and letter spacing
4. Check the small favicon previews and download the SVG, PNG or square icon PNG

## FAQ

### Why does the font change when I open the SVG on another computer?

Text in the SVG stays as editable <text>, so it is drawn with whatever fonts the viewing computer has; if the chosen font is missing, a similar one is used. The browser has no access to font files, so it can’t convert text into outlines. For identical results everywhere, use the PNG, or open the SVG in Illustrator or Inkscape and convert the text to outlines/paths.

### How is the curved text laid out, and why isn’t the bottom text upside down?

Each character is measured with the canvas API, and the arc length between neighbours is half of one width plus the spacing plus half of the next. Every character’s centre is then placed on the circle and rotated to the tangent. The top arc is centred at twelve o’clock and runs clockwise with letters pointing outwards; the bottom arc is centred at six o’clock and runs left to right with letters pointing towards the centre, so both read the right way up. Long text is scaled down to keep the top arc within about 150°.

### Can I use the logo commercially?

Yes. The icons are simple geometric line drawings made for this tool, and the palettes and layouts are generic design elements, so the files are yours to use. Whether the name itself can be trademarked, or is too close to someone else’s mark, is something you need to check yourself. Emoji artwork comes from your operating system, so for formal branding a line icon or initials is the safer choice.

### How do I get a favicon?

The preview panel shows the mark on its own — the shape plus icon or initials, without text — at 16, 32, 48 and 64 px and in a mock browser tab. Use “Download icon PNG” for a square 32×32, 180×180 (Apple touch icon) or 512×512 PNG. For an .ico file or a full size set, feed the 512 px version into the site’s favicon generator.
