Ordinary resizing just stretches pixels, so enlarged images look soft. ## FAQ

### How is this different from Resize Image?

Resizing interpolates pixels and gets blurry when enlarging. AI upscaling generates new detail, so edges and textures stay crisp — use it when you need a large image from a small one.

### Why is it slow?

Upscaling is computationally heavy. With WebGPU your graphics card does the work; otherwise it runs on the CPU and a 500×500 image takes about a minute. Crop to the area you need first to save time.

### Will faces and small text come out clearly?

Landscapes, objects, illustrations and everyday photos work well. Fine detail in faces and small text is inferred by the model and may not match reality exactly.

### Are my files or data uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser with no network upload, and is discarded when you close the page.
