Inspect and edit a PDF’s document properties. Upload a file and the title, author, subject, keywords, creator and producer are read out for you to edit and save. You can also wipe every field in one click — handy for stripping an author’s name, an internal software name or a creation date before sending a file out; plenty of people never realise that a PDF exported from Word carries their computer account name. Beyond the usual Info properties, the embedded XMP metadata can be deleted too, so nothing is left half-cleaned. Everything runs locally and files are never uploaded.

## FAQ

### Why does my PDF list an author I do not recognise?

PDFs exported from Word, WPS or Pages usually embed the operating-system account name and the office suite’s name. Strip them here before sending the file out.

### What does clearing a field actually do?

An empty field removes that property outright rather than writing an empty string, so no blank entries are left behind in the document.

### Why delete the XMP metadata as well?

A PDF can hold the title and author in both the Info dictionary and an XMP stream, and some readers prefer the XMP copy. Cleaning only one of them is why an old title sometimes still shows up.

### Are my files or data uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser with no network upload, and is discarded when you close the page.
