The model works best on photos with a clear subject such as people, products, animals or vehicles. Backgrounds with colors close to the subject, very small subjects or lots of fine hair can cause errors; cropping closer to the subject often helps.

Why does the first run take a moment?

The first use downloads a 46 MB AI segmentation model into the browser cache; later runs skip the download. Browsers with WebGPU (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari) process images much faster.

Can I change the background color of an ID photo?

Yes. Choose "Solid color" and click the white, red or blue preset to get an ID photo with that backdrop.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly. Files never leave your computer and are discarded when you close the page.

Do I need to sign up or pay?
