How to use Scientific Calculator
- 1Type an expression such as 2*(3+4)^2 or sin(pi/6)+ln(e)
- 2Switch to DEG if you want trigonometric functions to use degrees
- 3Press Enter to store the answer in ans and reuse it in the next expression
FAQ
- How do I take a logarithm with a custom base?
- Write log(8, 2) — the first argument is the number, the second is the base, giving 3. log(x) alone is base 10; use ln(x) for the natural logarithm.
- How do I work in degrees?
- Click DEG at the top and sin(30) becomes 0.5. In radian mode you can also write sin(rad(30)) or sin(pi/6).
- What is ans?
- The result of the last expression you confirmed with Enter. Compute 12*5 to get 60, then write ans/4 for 15.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. Parsing and evaluation happen entirely in your browser.
