FAQ
- How do I write an amount in words on a cheque?
- Use the English currency line, for example “One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars and Fifty-Six Cents”, which is the wording banks expect.
- What are the Chinese financial numerals for?
- Invoices, cheques and expense claims in China must use 壹贰叁… with 元角分 so amounts cannot be altered; the tool applies the zero and “整” rules automatically.
- How are decimals spelled out?
- In the English words line the digits after the point are read one by one, for example 1.05 becomes “one point zero five”.
- How large a number is supported?
- Any value with an absolute value below 10^16, which covers everyday invoices and contracts.
