📩Letter Templates - Leave Request, Receipt, IOU, Resignation
Everyday paperwork follows conventions people rarely remember: where the date goes, how to address the reader, how to write an amount in words on a receipt or IOU. This tool turns six common English documents into fill-in forms — a leave request, a receipt, an IOU, an employment verification letter, an authorization letter and a resignation letter — alongside eleven Chinese formats such as 请假条, 借条, 收条, 在职证明 and 委托书. Fill in the fields on the left and a formatted A4 document appears on the right as you type: amounts are written out cheque-style (“One thousand five hundred and 00/100 US dollars”) next to the figures, dates read “October 12, 2026”, optional sentences disappear when you leave them blank, and required details you haven’t filled in show as underlined blanks you can complete by hand after printing. English letters use a clean block format; Chinese documents follow their own layout rules, including uppercase financial numerals. Print or save as PDF, copy the plain text into an email, or download a .txt file. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored. The templates are for general reference only and are not legal advice.

FAQ
- Is an IOU from this tool legally binding?
- An IOU is generally evidence that a debt exists, but whether and how it can be enforced depends on where you live and the circumstances. This tool only provides a common format and isn’t legal advice; for large amounts or formal loan agreements with repayment schedules, consult a lawyer.
- How are amounts written in words?
- English templates use the cheque convention: whole units in words followed by cents over 100, such as “One thousand two hundred thirty-four and 50/100”, then the currency name and the figure in brackets. You can set the currency symbol and name, for example $ and US dollars or £ and pounds sterling.
- Can my employer use the verification letter as is?
- It’s a starting point. An employment verification letter should be issued and signed by HR or a manager, ideally on company letterhead, and some banks, landlords or embassies ask for specific wording — check their requirements first.
- Is the information I type stored anywhere?
- No. Documents are generated entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server or saved on your device, and the fields clear when you close or reload the page. Print, save a PDF or copy the text to keep a copy.
