✨Reduce Noise in Photos Online - Remove Grain & Colour Noise

Night, indoor and high-ISO photos often show two kinds of noise: fine light/dark grain (luminance noise) and red-green blotches (colour noise). This tool splits the image into luminance and colour and treats them separately. Colour noise can be smoothed heavily with almost no loss of detail, while luminance noise uses a guided filter — an edge-preserving method that flattens smooth areas but keeps edges crisp. A salt-and-pepper option cleans up stray black and white dots on scans and old photos. The preview shows the centre of the image at 1:1, before and after, so you can judge the strength.

FAQ

How strong should I go?
Raise colour noise reduction until the blotches disappear — it barely affects detail. Start luminance around 30–50; going higher makes skin and grass look smeared.
The photo looks soft after denoising — what now?
Lower the luminance strength, or run the result through the Sharpen Image tool with a light setting to restore crispness.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser with no network upload, and is discarded when you close the page.
Do I need to sign up or pay?
No. The site is completely free, needs no account, has no usage limits and adds no watermark.
