🔎AI Image Upscaler - Enlarge Images 2x / 4x Without Losing Quality
Ordinary resizing just stretches pixels, so enlarged images look soft. AI upscaling uses the Real-ESRGAN super-resolution model to reconstruct detail, enlarging 2x or 4x while cleaning up blur, jagged edges and JPEG artefacts — ideal for small images, old photos and low-quality downloads. Transparent PNGs keep their transparency. The model is only about 5MB and runs in your browser; it is fast on computers with WebGPU, and images are never uploaded.

FAQ
- How is this different from Resize Image?
- Resizing interpolates pixels and gets blurry when enlarging. AI upscaling generates new detail, so edges and textures stay crisp — use it when you need a large image from a small one.
- Why is it slow?
- Upscaling is computationally heavy. With WebGPU your graphics card does the work; otherwise it runs on the CPU and a 500×500 image takes about a minute. Crop to the area you need first to save time.
- Will faces and small text come out clearly?
- Landscapes, objects, illustrations and everyday photos work well. Fine detail in faces and small text is inferred by the model and may not match reality exactly.
- Are my files or data uploaded?
- No. Everything runs locally in your browser with no network upload, and is discarded when you close the page.
