💥PDF to CBZ and CBZ to PDF Converter for Comics and Manga

CBZ is the most widely supported comic format — just a ZIP archive of page images in order — and opens directly in Komga, Kavita, Calibre, YACReader, Panels, CDisplayEx and most comic readers, while PDF is handier for printing, sharing and e-readers. This tool converts in three directions. PDF to CBZ: when a page is a single full-page scan, the original JPEG bytes are copied straight out (truly lossless, same size), other image types are saved as PNG at native pixels, and pages with text or vector content are rendered to JPG or PNG at the DPI you choose. CBZ or ZIP to PDF: images are sorted naturally by file name (page 2 before page 10, subfolders in order), __MACOSX and hidden files are skipped, pages match each image’s size or fit A4 or B5 (wide spreads get landscape paper), and the right-to-left option reverses the page order for manga. Images to CBZ: pages are sorted the same way and a ComicInfo.xml is written with title, series, number, writer, manga flag and per-page sizes with double-page markers, so library apps recognize the book. CBR (RAR) and CB7 archives aren’t supported. Everything runs in your browser; files are never uploaded.

FAQ

What is a CBZ file and why use it instead of PDF?
A CBZ is simply a ZIP archive of a comic’s page images in reading order with the extension changed to .cbz. Comic readers display the images with comic-specific features such as two-page spreads, right-to-left reading and fit-to-width, and library apps like Komga, Kavita and Calibre read the ComicInfo.xml inside to organize series and issues. PDF is better for printing and general sharing.
Does PDF to CBZ lose quality?
With Extract the original image enabled, any page that consists of one full-page image — typical for scanned comics — is extracted as is: JPEGs are copied byte for byte, so quality and size are identical to the PDF, and other compressed images are saved losslessly as PNG at native pixels. Only pages with text, vector art or several images need rendering, where you can pick PNG or a higher JPG quality and DPI. After conversion the tool reports how many pages were extracted losslessly.
The pages come out in the wrong order — what can I do?
Images are sorted in natural order: numbers compare by value (2 before 10), case is ignored, subfolders are taken in name order, and __MACOSX, hidden files and Thumbs.db are skipped. If the archive’s file names are inconsistent (no zero padding with mixed prefixes, for example), unzip it, repack the images with Images → CBZ, turn off natural sorting and drag them into order by hand.
Why isn’t CBR supported? Does right-to-left mirror the pages?
CBR files are RAR archives, a proprietary format with no lightweight, reliable decoder for the browser, so convert them to ZIP or CBZ with an archive tool first. Right-to-left only reverses the page order, so manga reads naturally in viewers that turn pages left to right; the images themselves are never mirrored. All conversions run in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
