📰Add Header and Footer to PDF Online - Page Numbers, Date & File Name
Add a consistent header and footer to every page of a PDF in one go. Both the header and the footer have left, center and right slots, and each supports variables: {page} for the page number, {total} for the page count, {date} for today’s date and {filename} for the file name — for example “Page {page} of {total}” or “{filename} · Internal”. Adjust the font size, color and side and top/bottom margins, limit it to certain pages, skip the first page (cover) and optionally draw a thin rule below the header and above the footer. A live preview shows exactly what you will get. The original pages stay vector; Latin text is written with a standard font and remains searchable, and Chinese is embedded as high-resolution images. Everything runs in your browser and files are never uploaded.

FAQ
- How do I get “Page 1 of 10”?
- Type “Page {page} of {total}” in the footer’s center slot. {page} and {total} are replaced with the right numbers on every page.
- How do I leave the cover page blank?
- Tick “Skip the first page (cover)”, or choose Specific pages and enter a range such as 2-20.
- Will it cover the existing content?
- Headers and footers are overlaid on the page and nothing is deleted. If the page already has text near its edges, increase the top/bottom margin to avoid overlap.
- Are my files or data uploaded?
- No. Everything runs locally in your browser with no network upload, and is discarded when you close the page.
