🟩Green Screen Remover - Chroma Key Video Online

Footage shot against a green (or blue) screen can be placed on any background once that single color is keyed out. Upload a video and click the green screen in the preview to pick the key color, or choose standard green or blue with one click. Keying uses FFmpeg's chromakey by default — it keys by chroma, so it copes better with uneven lighting — or you can switch to RGB color distance. Similarity sets how much is removed, edge softness gives hair and other edges a natural falloff, and spill suppression cleans green light reflected onto the subject. Scrub to any moment to check the key: the live preview is computed in your browser with the same formulas as FFmpeg so every change shows instantly, and Exact preview renders the current frame with FFmpeg itself. Replace the background with a solid color, an image or another video (scaled to cover and optionally looped) and export H.264 MP4 with the original audio — or export with transparency as WebM (VP8 with alpha, for the web and CapCut), MOV (ProRes 4444, for Premiere, Final Cut and DaVinci Resolve) or a zipped PNG sequence.

FAQ

The background is not fully removed, or holes appear in the subject. What should I do?
First click the most representative part of the background to re-pick the key color, then adjust Similarity: raise it if background remains, lower it if the subject (especially clothing or highlights in the eyes) turns transparent. Turn on spill removal for green fringes and add some edge softness. Even lighting on the screen and keeping the subject a metre or more away from it make a much cleaner key.
Which transparent format should I choose?
Choose WebM for the web, CapCut, After Effects and other tools that support transparent WebM — the files are small. Choose ProRes 4444 MOV for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve: near-lossless but very large. If you are unsure what your software supports, a PNG sequence (ZIP) imports almost everywhere, but it is the largest and best for short clips.
Why does the live preview differ slightly from the final result?
The live preview is an in-browser approximation that uses the same per-pixel formulas as FFmpeg but does not simulate the edge averaging caused by 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, so edges can differ a little. Click Exact preview to see the current frame rendered by FFmpeg, which matches the export.
Is my video uploaded? Is it free?
Nothing is uploaded — keying and encoding run in your browser with FFmpeg (WebAssembly), so long videos take a while; trim to the part you need first. The tool is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
