📹Online Webcam Recorder - Filters, Teleprompter, MP4 Export
Record a video with your computer or phone camera right in the browser — no install, no account. Great for self-introductions, lessons, video messages and talking-head clips. Choose which camera and microphone to use, set 480p, 720p or 1080p at 24, 30 or 60 fps, and mirror the preview so it feels like a mirror while the recording keeps the true orientation (or mirror both if you prefer). Looks are applied live and baked into the recording: vivid, warm, cool, black & white, vintage and faded styles, brightness, contrast and saturation controls, plus edge-preserving skin smoothing that softens flat areas while eyes and hair stay sharp. Start with a 3, 5 or 10-second countdown, watch the timer, pause and resume whenever you like, and take JPG snapshots at any moment. The built-in teleprompter scrolls your script in large text over the top of the preview at the speed and size you choose — only you can see it; it never ends up in the video. The recording format is negotiated automatically (WebM in Chrome, Edge and Firefox; MP4 in Safari), and a WebM can be converted to widely compatible H.264 MP4 locally with one click. Video and audio are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded.

FAQ
- Why does it say camera permission was denied?
- Browsers ask once, and if you clicked Block they won’t ask again. Click the lock or settings icon next to the address bar, set Camera and Microphone to Allow, and reload the page. A camera can usually only be used by one app at a time, so close any video-call app that is holding it.
- Can I share the WebM file or edit it?
- WebM plays in Chrome, VLC and most desktop players, but phone galleries, some messaging apps and some editors don’t accept it. Click Convert to MP4 & download to turn it into H.264 MP4 with FFmpeg right in your browser — the most compatible format. Safari records MP4 directly, so no conversion is needed there.
- Will the teleprompter text appear in my video?
- No. The teleprompter is a separate layer on top of the preview, while the recording is made from the processed camera image only. Place it near the lens and enable automatic scrolling so it starts moving when recording begins, at the speed you set.
- What’s the difference between preview and recording mirroring?
- A mirrored preview behaves like a mirror, which makes it easier to position yourself, but it’s not how others see you. By default only the preview is mirrored and the video keeps the true orientation, so text on signs or shirts reads correctly. Tick Mirror the recording too if you want the saved video flipped as well.
