🎴Video Thumbnail Maker - Pick a Frame, Add Bold Title Text
A great thumbnail decides whether anyone clicks your video. Upload a video and scrub the timeline frame by frame to pick the moment you want — eight suggested frames are pulled out automatically so you can just click one — or upload a photo instead. No footage? Make a text-only cover on a solid background. Switch sizes in one click: YouTube 1280×720, Bilibili 1146×717, TikTok / Douyin / Shorts 1080×1920, Xiaohongshu 3:4, WeChat Channels 6:7, Instagram 4:5, square and 1080p. The picture is cropped to fill, or choose Fit + blurred background so a landscape frame stays whole on a vertical cover. Drag directly on the preview to move the picture, title and stickers, and adjust zoom, brightness and saturation. Titles support multiple lines and automatic wrapping for Chinese, Japanese and Korean, with closing punctuation kept off the start of a line; wrap words in *asterisks* to show them in an accent color. Choose sans, serif, brush (Kai), rounded or Impact fonts and set size, weight, line spacing, outline, shadow and a box, per-line or highlighter background. Eight templates — bold variety, clean minimal, red label, news bar, neon tech, highlighter, vlog serif and brush script — plus gradient overlays, a corner badge such as EP.01, emoji stickers and a border get you there fast. Export JPG or PNG at the exact platform size. Everything runs in your browser and your video is never uploaded.

FAQ
- What size should a YouTube or TikTok thumbnail be?
- YouTube thumbnails are 1280×720 (16:9). TikTok, Douyin and YouTube Shorts covers are vertical 1080×1920 (9:16). Bilibili recommends 1146×717, Xiaohongshu notes usually use 1080×1440 (3:4), WeChat Channels uses 1080×1260 (6:7) and Instagram feed posts 1080×1350 (4:5). Pick the platform under Cover size, or enter a custom width and height.
- My video says it can’t be decoded. What can I do?
- Frames are read with your browser’s built-in video player. Most MP4 (H.264), WebM and MOV files work, but some HEVC/H.265, AVI, FLV and WMV files don’t play in browsers. Convert the video to MP4 with Convert Video first, or take a screenshot in your player and upload it as an image.
- How do I color just a few words of the title?
- Wrap them in asterisks, for example “I learned editing in *3 days*”. Words inside the asterisks use the accent color and the rest use the title color. Press Enter for a manual line break; long titles also wrap automatically to fit.
- Will a landscape frame get cut off on a vertical cover?
- With Crop to fill, the sides are cropped — drag the picture on the preview to choose which part to keep, or use the zoom slider. To keep the whole frame, switch the fit to Fit + blurred background: the picture stays complete in the middle and the empty space is filled with a blurred copy of it.
