🎙️Online Voice Recorder - Record Audio in Your Browser and Save as MP3

Record voice memos, meeting notes, lectures, singing practice, podcast takes or voice-overs without installing anything. Pick which microphone to use and toggle the browser's noise suppression, echo cancellation and auto gain. A live level meter and scrolling waveform show at a glance whether you are too quiet or clipping. Pause and resume as often as you like; every stop adds a take to the list, where you can play it back, rename or delete it. Save the browser's native WebM/Opus file directly, or convert to MP3, lossless WAV or M4A (AAC) in one click. Recording and conversion happen entirely in your browser.

FAQ

Why does nothing happen, or it says microphone access was denied?
The browser asks for microphone permission the first time — click Allow. If you blocked it earlier, click the lock icon next to the address bar, set Microphone to Allow and reload. Also make sure no other app (a meeting app, for example) is holding the microphone.
Can I save the recording as MP3?
Yes. Browsers record WebM/Opus natively (M4A in Safari); choose MP3 as the download format and it is converted to a 192 kbps MP3 automatically. Pick WAV if you want a lossless file for editing.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly. Files never leave your computer and are discarded when you close the page.
Do I need to sign up or pay?
No. The site is completely free, requires no account, has no usage limits and adds no watermarks.
