🕰️EXIF Editor - Change Photo Date, GPS & Camera Info, Lossless

Back from a trip and the camera was set to the wrong time zone, so every photo is eight hours off? Photos sorting in the wrong order, a location you want to add, GPS you want to strip before sharing, or an artist and copyright to stamp on your work — all of that means editing EXIF. Drop in one or more JPEG photos and the tool lists every EXIF tag in each file (main image, Exif, GPS, interoperability and thumbnail). Then you can set the date taken (DateTimeOriginal, DateTimeDigitized and DateTime can be ticked individually) or shift dates earlier or later by days, hours, minutes and seconds; write GPS from decimal latitude, longitude and altitude, or remove the location; edit camera make and model, artist, copyright, description and software; change the orientation flag to fix sideways photos; and delete any ticked tags or all EXIF. Each change can apply to the current photo or to every photo at once. Only the EXIF (APP1) segment of the JPEG is rewritten — the compressed image data is kept byte for byte, so there’s no quality loss — and other tags, including the vendor MakerNote, are preserved where possible. Download a single photo or a ZIP of all of them. JPEG only: PNG, HEIC and WebP aren’t supported. Everything runs locally in your browser.

FAQ

Does editing EXIF reduce photo quality?
No. The tool replaces the APP1 segment that holds EXIF directly in the JPEG byte stream and leaves the compressed image data untouched, so there’s no re-encoding and no quality loss. File size only changes by the size of the metadata.
My camera clock was wrong. How do I fix all the photos?
Drop all the photos in, set “Apply changes to” to all files, enter the difference under Shift dates (for example 8 hours), choose later or earlier, and click Shift dates. Each photo is shifted from its own timestamp, so their order is preserved.
Why aren’t PNG and HEIC supported?
PNG stores metadata differently and rarely carries camera data, and HEIC (used by iPhones) is a complex container format. Only the most common format, JPEG, is supported for now. Convert HEIC photos with the HEIC to JPG tool first, then edit them here.
I changed the date but my photo app still shows the old one. Why?
Most photo apps read DateTimeOriginal, so make sure that box is ticked. Some apps such as Lightroom also store dates in XMP or prefer the file’s modified time, so you may need to re-read metadata there. Non-ASCII text is written as UTF-8, which a few very old programs may display incorrectly.
