🏹Annotate Screenshots Online - Arrows, Steps, Blur & Text
Writing a tutorial, filing a bug or pointing a teammate at a UI issue usually means drawing an arrow, boxing an area, numbering steps and hiding an email address or API token. This tool is ready the moment you open it: take a screenshot and press Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac) on the page, or choose or drop an image. The toolbar has arrows, lines, rectangles, ellipses, a pen, a semi-transparent highlighter, text (works with any input method, optional background), auto-incrementing step badges, pixelate / blur regions and crop. Every mark stays editable: select it to move it, drag its endpoints or corners, change its color or thickness, or delete it. Undo and redo work as expected, and there’s a full set of shortcuts (A arrow, R rectangle, N step, M pixelate…); hold Shift for horizontal lines, 45° angles and squares, and nudge with the arrow keys. Pixelation samples the original pixels, so the hidden text isn’t present in the exported image. When you’re done, copy the result to the clipboard and paste it into chat or docs, or download a PNG or JPG. Everything runs locally in your browser.

FAQ
- What’s the fastest way to annotate a screenshot?
- Capture to the clipboard (Win+Shift+S on Windows, Shift+⌘+Ctrl+4 on a Mac), come back to this page and press Ctrl+V / ⌘V. When you’re done, click Copy to clipboard and paste straight into Slack, Teams, email or a document — no files to save.
- Is pixelation safe? Can it be reversed?
- The exported image only contains the downscaled blocks or blurred pixels, not the original text. With very small blocks, large text may still be guessable, so for sensitive data raise the strength or cover it with a filled rectangle.
- How do I fix a mistake?
- Switch to the Select tool (V) and click a mark to drag it. Arrows and lines have two endpoint handles; rectangles, ellipses and blur regions have corner handles. Changing color, width or size applies to the selected mark. Press Delete to remove it, Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo; double-click text to edit it again.
- Are my screenshots uploaded?
- No. Loading, drawing, redaction and export all happen locally in your browser with Canvas, and nothing is kept after you close the page — handy for screenshots containing account or order details.
