🧹Remove Blank Pages from PDF - Detect and Delete Empty Pages Online
Duplex scans of contracts and homework are full of blank backs, and PDFs exported from Word sometimes carry stray empty pages at section breaks; finding and deleting them one by one is slow and easy to get wrong. This tool renders a small image of each page, measures what share of it is covered by pixels darker than a brightness level, and reads the page’s text: a page with no text and content below the threshold is marked blank. Blank pages in scans often show specks, fold marks or punch-hole shadows, so you can raise the threshold or ignore the outer 5% of each page; for greyish paper or show-through, lower the brightness level so light tones don’t count. Pages that only say “This page intentionally left blank” can be treated as blank as well. Results appear as thumbnails with pages to remove outlined in red; click any thumbnail to switch it between remove and keep, and the marks update instantly as you move the sliders. When you confirm, only the selected pages are removed and every other page stays exactly as it was, with text, vector graphics, links and bookmarks intact and no loss of quality. Everything runs locally in your browser without uploading the file.

FAQ
- How does it decide that a page is blank?
- Each page is rendered at about 300 pixels wide and the tool measures the share of pixels darker than the brightness level. If the page has no extractable text and that share is at or below your threshold (0.2% by default), it is marked blank. Pages with only a page number or header are kept by default; click their thumbnails to remove them manually.
- Blank pages in my scan were not detected. What can I do?
- Scanned blank pages often contain dust specks, fold marks and edge shadows. Raise the threshold to 0.5–2%, turn on “Ignore the outer 5% of each page”, or lower the brightness level so light grey paper tone is not counted. You can also click thumbnails to mark pages yourself.
- Does removing pages affect the other pages?
- No. Only the selected pages are removed from the document; the rest stay exactly as they were, with searchable text, vector graphics and links unchanged and no image recompression.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Detection and removal both happen in your browser with no network upload, and everything is discarded when you close the page.
