📝PDF to Word Converter - Convert PDF to Editable DOCX Online
When you need to change a few words in a PDF, reuse a section or reformat it, converting to Word is the easiest route. This tool reads the position, size and font of every piece of text in the PDF and rebuilds the flow: lines that wrap are joined back into paragraphs (hyphenated line breaks too), lines in a noticeably larger size become Word Heading 1/2/3 styles so the navigation pane shows the outline, bold and italic come from the fonts, lines starting with a bullet become real Word bulleted lists and numbered items keep their numbers with a hanging indent. Pictures are extracted and inserted near their original position, and each page keeps its paper size and orientation. For table-heavy or intricate layouts, switch to Keep layout mode: every page is placed into Word as a crisp picture that looks exactly like the PDF, optionally followed by that page’s editable text. To be upfront about the limits: tables become tab-separated rows of text, multi-column layouts and text boxes are merged into the body in reading order, and scanned PDFs contain no text at all, so the tool suggests running Scanned PDF OCR first. Everything runs in your browser, so contracts, CVs and other sensitive files never leave your computer.

FAQ
- Why did my table turn into lines of text?
- A PDF has no real table structure, only text and lines drawn at certain positions. The converter separates widely spaced text on the same line with tabs, so rows still line up in Word, but it does not build editable Word tables. For documents full of tables that must look identical, use Keep layout mode.
- Can it convert scanned PDFs?
- A scanned PDF is a stack of pictures with no extractable text, so a direct conversion only yields images. The tool detects this and suggests running our Scanned PDF OCR tool first to add a text layer, then converting the result to Word.
- Why are the fonts different from the original?
- So that the document opens correctly on any computer, the Word file uses standard default fonts and keeps only size, bold and italic formatting. If the exact look matters, use Keep layout mode, which places each page as a picture.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Parsing the PDF and building the Word document both happen in your browser with no network upload, which makes it suitable for contracts, CVs and confidential reports.
