📽️PPT to Text - Export pptx Outline, Speaker Notes and Images

Turning a deck into a document, a script or handover material usually means copying text slide by slide. This tool parses the pptx into an outline instead: every title, bullet level, table and speaker note is there, and the pictures can be exported in one go.

FAQ

Can it open .ppt files?
No. .ppt is the PowerPoint 97-2003 binary format — save as .pptx in PowerPoint or WPS first. If a .potx template has no slides, the page says so.
How is the export order decided?
Within a slide, shapes are sorted top to bottom by position and the title always comes first. That matches the order an audience reads, rather than the order shapes happen to be stored in.
Do charts and SmartArt come through?
Not reliably. Bar and pie charts are separate chart parts whose numbers are not in the text, and SmartArt is its own drawing part. For those, save the graphic as an image in PowerPoint or convert it to ordinary shapes first.
Is note formatting kept?
Notes are exported as text only — bold and colors are dropped. Placeholders such as slide numbers and dates on the notes page are skipped so they do not pollute the output.
What about animations and transitions?
They are out of scope. This tool exports text content and its hierarchy; layout, colors and animation have no textual equivalent.
