📖EPUB to TXT / Markdown - Convert an Ebook to HTML or PDF

To pull the text out of an EPUB for notes, for another tool or just to print it, unzipping only gets you a pile of XHTML files in no obvious order. This tool follows the book's own spine order, takes chapter titles from the table of contents, and gives you one clean document.

FAQ

Can it convert DRM-protected books?
No. Adobe or Kindle encryption makes the content unreadable in a browser and the page tells you so. Removing DRM is a copyright matter this tool stays out of.
What about mobi / azw3?
Convert them to EPUB with Calibre first. Those are Kindle-specific formats with a completely different structure.
Are footnotes and pop-up notes lost?
Footnote text stays where it sits in the document, but the tap-to-pop-up behaviour is a reader feature with no equivalent in Markdown or plain text.
Can I control the PDF layout?
The print dialog offers paper size, margins and scaling. For precise control over page numbers and headers, export Markdown first and lay it out with the Markdown to PDF tool.
Will a huge book choke?
No. Chapters are read one at a time, so hundreds of them are fine; only the first 4000 characters are previewed — the full text is in the downloaded file.
