🧾Open OFD Files Online - Preview, Convert to PDF, Extract Text
Someone sent you a .ofd and nothing on your computer will open it. OFD is China's national fixed-layout document standard (GB/T 33190), used by e-invoices and plenty of official paperwork. This tool parses the OFD package right in the browser: pages are drawn as they were authored, and you can convert them to PDF for an expense system or pull out the invoice text and the source XML attachment. Invoices are sensitive, so everything stays on your device.

FAQ
- How does OFD relate to PDF?
- Both are fixed-layout formats that look the same everywhere. OFD is China's own national standard (GB/T 33190) and is a zip underneath, with XML describing the text and graphics of each page. Chinese e-invoices moved to it in bulk from 2020.
- Is the exported PDF searchable?
- Yes. The page goes in as an image and the original text is laid invisibly on top at the right positions — the same technique OCR tools use — so searching, copying and highlighting work, and because the text is the original rather than a recognition result there are no OCR mistakes.
- Why do the glyphs differ from the official reader?
- When the OFD embeds its fonts, they are loaded and the glyphs match. When it only names a system font such as SimSun, the closest font on your device is used, so stroke weights can differ slightly while positions and content stay the same.
- Can it verify the electronic seal?
- No. The page tells you whether a seal file is present, but verifying one needs an accredited CA service and certificate-chain checks that a browser cannot do — and that a third-party page should not pronounce on. Use the tax authority's invoice verification service for that.
- Is my invoice uploaded?
- No. Parsing, rendering and conversion all happen in the browser, and the page sends no file content anywhere. It keeps working offline.
- My OFD will not open — now what?
- First check that the package contains OFD.xml (rename it to .zip and look). A few vendors use custom encryption or proprietary fields, and those only open in their own reader.
