🗞️Markdown to WeChat Official Account Formatter - Free Online
Writing a WeChat Official Account article in Markdown is easy — until you paste it into the WeChat editor and every style disappears. WeChat strips <style> tags and class names, often breaks nested lists, and doesn’t allow external links. This formatter converts your Markdown live into HTML that uses inline styles only. Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, nested blockquotes, tables with alignment, horizontal rules and images all get matching styles. Ordered, unordered and task lists are laid out with drawn markers instead of native list tags, so they stay intact after pasting. Code blocks keep every indent and line break and get syntax highlighting with inline colors (JavaScript, Python, Go, SQL, HTML and more) in light, dark or Mac-window style. External links become numbered footnotes at the end, while links to mp.weixin.qq.com articles stay clickable. Choose from 8 themes, set your own accent color, font size, line height and paragraph spacing, and optionally add spaces between Chinese and English text. A phone-width preview updates as you type; click Copy for WeChat and paste into the editor, or export HTML or Markdown. Drafts autosave in your browser and are never uploaded.

FAQ
- Why do the styles survive pasting into WeChat?
- The WeChat editor removes <style> tags and class attributes but keeps inline style attributes. Every heading, paragraph, list item, table cell and code span produced here carries its colors, sizes, borders and spacing in its own style attribute, so the result looks like the preview. The copy is rich text (text/html) — paste it straight into the article body, not into a plain-text app first.
- Why are my links turned into footnotes?
- WeChat articles can’t contain external links; only links to other published WeChat articles work. The formatter keeps the link text, adds a superscript number like [1] and lists the full URL under References at the end, so readers can copy it. Links to mp.weixin.qq.com articles remain clickable, and you can switch footnotes off in the settings.
- How are images handled?
- Use image URLs that start with http(s), such as an image host or images already in your WeChat media library. When you paste, WeChat usually re-hosts external images on its own servers. Images from your computer can’t be carried over by copy and paste — upload them again in the WeChat editor. An image on its own line is centered, with its alt text shown as a caption.
- Do code blocks and lists look right on phones?
- In code blocks, spaces become non-breaking spaces and line breaks become <br> tags, and every highlighted run has its own color so WeChat’s default styles can’t override it; long lines scroll sideways on a phone. Lists use indented paragraphs with drawn bullets and numbers (1, a, i for deeper levels) instead of fragile native list tags, so multi-level lists paste correctly.
